Frozen Yogurt

I know it's been a while since my last post, but once you read about what I've discovered during this time, I'm sure all will be well. As if you couldn't guess from the title, yes, I have discovered the wonderful invention of frozen yogurt! Now you're probably asking yourself how I didn't know what frozen yogurt was. The truth is, I did, but I just never really paid much attention to it before. In my mind, I was thinking, 'What could beat the creamy and delicious taste of ice cream? Nothing.' But I was wrong...
As I was perusing the frozen foods section of the grocery store one day, I decided I wanted something different than the regular selection of ice cream...you know, chocolate, mint chocolate chip, coffee, black raspberry, chocolate chip cookie dough, etc...I passed by the popsicles and ice cream sandwiches, and all of a sudden, my eyes alighted on a container I hadn't seen before. I picked it up and saw that it was frozen yogurt, vanilla flavored. Now I'm not too fond of just plain vanilla, but I was in the mood to try something new. Before committing myself to this plain flavor, however, I scanned the shelves, looking for another alternative. And then I saw them. Pushed way in the back, hidden behind cartons of orange sherbert, were a couple of containers similar to the one I was already holding, but in red. I quickly placed the vanilla back on the shelf and reached back for the mystery container. My fingers froze as soon as they made contact with the red carton, but I quickly withdrew my arm, clutching the container in my hands. I looked down and saw to my delight, that not only was this vanilla frozen yogurt, but it was vanilla frozen yogurt with raspberry swirls. It was a done deal. To make a long story short, I stocked up on two cartons, paid, and then went home.
I actually ended up quite liking the frozen yogurt. I found that it melted faster than regular ice cream, and it sometimes tasted sweeter but less creamy too. I also found some granola wedged in the corner of my pantry, so I've been enjoying the wonderful taste of that on top of my frozen yogurt. You should really try it sometime.

Who's Afraid of the Dark?

I've come to the conclusion that too many horror scenes take place in a bathroom, and today I sadly realized that I can no longer just walk into a bathroom without needing to check to see if there are any shadowy figures lurking behind the shower curtain. What happens if it's late at night and I'm brushing my teeth? Don't even get me started about my fear that if I look in the mirror, I'll see someone (or something) standing behind me, only to whip around and see...nothing. This next part is sad...but true. I got up to go to the bathroom late one night and as I approached the bathroom, I saw that the door was closed. It was pitch black and I'm not afraid of the dark, but more of what could be in the dark. I told myself I was being silly and that nothing was behind that door, but that didn't stop horror movie-worthy images from flooding my mind. To make a long story short, I eventually squeezed my eyes shut, threw open the door, and flipped on the light switch, all in record time...and I did live to tell the tale.

Envelopes

Sometimes when I'm opening an envelope, I think about how fascinatingly weird it is that most every envelope is sealed by some other person's saliva. So basically they slobber on the envelope, seal it shut, mail it to you, and then you proceed to use your own hands to to unseal the very same envelope...I mean, unless you use some fancy-schmancy letter opener or something, and in which that case, I have no further comment.
