I've come to the conclusion that too many horror scenes take place in a bathroom, and today I sadly realized that I can no longer just walk into a bathroom without needing to check to see if there are any shadowy figures lurking behind the shower curtain. What happens if it's late at night and I'm brushing my teeth? Don't even get me started about my fear that if I look in the mirror, I'll see someone (or something) standing behind me, only to whip around and see...nothing. This next part is sad...but true. I got up to go to the bathroom late one night and as I approached the bathroom, I saw that the door was closed. It was pitch black and I'm not afraid of the dark, but more of what could be in the dark. I told myself I was being silly and that nothing was behind that door, but that didn't stop horror movie-worthy images from flooding my mind. To make a long story short, I eventually squeezed my eyes shut, threw open the door, and flipped on the light switch, all in record time...and I did live to tell the tale.
